OMG Experience now accepts credit and debit cards for Bhutan Airlines bookings and ticket issuance. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The ticket fare is never marked up: Stripe's processing fee, and the 7% VAT that applies to it, is shown as a separate card service fee, so you see the exact total before you confirm. The change is effective from September 2026, and bank transfer remains available.

How do I pay by card?

  1. Book through Book & Hold, by phone or by email, as you do today.
  2. Our team confirms the seats, fare and taxes with you in writing.
  3. We send you a secure Stripe payment link for the total, with the card service fee shown as its own line.
  4. You pay on Stripe's checkout page, and your ticket is issued once the payment clears.

Our website never asks for card details. Card numbers are entered only on Stripe's own secure page, and OMG Experience does not see or store them. If anyone asks for your card number by phone, chat or email in our name, decline and call us on +66 2 630 4600.

How much is the card service fee?

Stripe charges a fee on every card payment, and the rate depends on where the card was issued. Thai VAT of 7% applies to that fee.

Card typeStripe rateVAT on fee
Domestic card (issued in Thailand)3.65% + ฿10.007%
International card4.75% + ฿10.007%
International card with currency conversion4.75% + 2% + ฿10.00 = 6.75% + ฿10.007%

On a ฿15,000 fare, the card service fee comes to about 4.14% for a Thai card, about 5.43% for an international card, and about 7.86% when Stripe also has to convert the card's currency.

How is the amount I pay worked out?

Stripe takes its percentage from the full amount charged, not from the fare. The total is therefore calculated so that, after Stripe's fee and VAT are deducted, OMG receives exactly the ticket fare and nothing more:

Amount you pay = (Fare + ฿10 × 1.07) ÷ (1 − Rate × 1.07)

The rate is 3.65% for a domestic card, 4.75% for an international card, or 6.75% for an international card with currency conversion. The 1.07 adds the 7% VAT on Stripe's fee.

Which cards count as domestic?

A domestic card is one issued by a bank in Thailand; an international card is one issued outside Thailand. The 2% currency-conversion fee applies only when Stripe has to convert the card's currency, so it does not apply to every foreign card.

Apple Pay and Google Pay follow the card stored in the wallet: a Thai card in Apple Pay is charged at the domestic rate.

Can I still pay by bank transfer?

Yes. Bank transfer remains available for every booking, and the card service fee applies only when you choose to pay by card. Tell our team which method you prefer when we confirm your booking.

Good to know

  • Card payments are subject to approval by your card issuer.
  • Stripe's rates and Thai VAT may change. If they do, we will update this notice.
  • The card service fee covers payment processing only. It is not part of the airfare, taxes or Bhutan's Sustainable Development Fee.
