Bhutan is a private, guide-led destination. Each of our packages travels through the Paro valley to the cliffside Tiger's Nest (Paro Taktsang), the capital Thimphu and the dzongs of Punakha, with a licensed guide, private driver and vehicle throughout. The Sustainable Development Fee and Bhutan visa are built into every package, so what you see is genuinely all-inclusive — you focus on the Kingdom, not the logistics.

Bhutan packages FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a guide to travel in Bhutan?

Yes. Independent travel is not permitted for most visitors — you travel with a licensed Bhutanese guide. Every package here is a private tour that includes a licensed English-speaking guide, a private driver and a private vehicle throughout.

What does all-inclusive mean?

Your package covers hotels, all meals, sightseeing entry fees, the licensed guide, the private driver and vehicle, the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) and the Bhutan visa. Bangkok–Paro flights, tips for your guide and driver, and travel insurance are arranged separately.

What is the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)?

The SDF is a daily fee charged by the Government of Bhutan to support conservation and community development. It is included in every package on this page, so you do not pay it separately.

Can I choose my own travel dates?

Yes. Every trip is a private departure planned around your preferred dates and pace — there are no fixed group departures to join.

When is the best time to visit Bhutan?

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) bring the clearest skies and the main festivals, but Bhutan is a year-round destination. The OMG Experience Team can advise on timing for your interests.

Are flights included in the package?

No. The package covers your time in Bhutan. Bangkok–Paro flights on Bhutan Airlines are arranged separately, and the OMG Experience Team can coordinate both for you.
